A fond good-bye from Claire

A bittersweet moment … I am retiring from Woodlands Garden effective June 30th.   The place and the people are extraordinary, and I am so grateful for my tenure here. The new Executive Director will join Woodlands August 1st. During July my email will be checked occasionally, as well as voicemails to the office phone 404-373-2222.

If you need a quick reply regarding general Garden operations, please email Garden Manager Ruby Bock ruby@woodlandsgarden.org or call her cellphone 678-641-2966.

If you need a quick reply regarding administrative matters, please email Board President Alan McNabb alan.mcnabb@gmail.com.

If your message is to me personally, please ask either Ruby or Alan for my home email address.

Thank you so very much for the opportunity to know you and Woodlands Garden. Perhaps I will see you soon, at a concert or on the hunt for Fairies.

Radio Ramblers, ramblin’ on back to the Pavilion

Come to Woodlands Garden Sunday June 28th from 2 – 4 pm to hear the well-loved Radio Ramblers.

They are perennial favorites at Woodlands and have been part of the Sunday concert series for the past seven years. They play a unique blend of country blues, Piedmont-style music, and Chicago blues. Formed ten years ago, founding members were Joe “Pigiron” Shifalo, Alton Leonard, and Michael Ellis. Pigiron was called home in 2011, but Alton and Michael have continued to perform and tour. In the last year, they have begun performing many more of Alton’s original songs.

Come Sunday to welcome George Eckart back –
we are so glad he’s feeling better.
