Camellias abloom in hues of brilliant reds, gentle pinks and frosty white in a canvas of rich green and brown …  and now a new flutter of color in our palette.

The Woodlands Garden bird committee has created a space for feeding and viewing our fine feathered friends. Our friend Marko Bajic captured their antics in our new bird meadow.

In the video below, we see the Tufted Titmouse, a White-Breasted Nuthatch, an American Goldfinch, a Pine Siskin, and a Pine Warbler in action:

The spicy suet in the Bird Meadow at the garden keeps the squirrels away, but is quite a hit with the birds. In this video, we see female and male Pine Warblers, a White Breasted Nuthatch (immature), and a female Red Bellied Woodpecker:

Come and take an end-of-winter stroll at our chirping new bird meadow. It’s a great place to learn about native plants and birds. You just might spot a bird we haven’t!
