Forest Bathing Walk
May 7, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
$45Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese form of nature therapy that is designed to connect you with nature. The word, “bathing,” refers to the idea of absorbing your natural surroundings using all of the senses, rather than anything to do with water. Forest bathing aims to bring healing through connection to nature and trees. The practice is said to enhance well-being, reduce stress and restore calm.
A walk is a two to three hour experience during which you will be invited to connect with nature using your senses.
Things you need to know:
- These particular Forest Therapy walks are designed for adults, so 14 is the minimum age. There will be future walks available that will give our younger people the opportunity to enjoy the Forest in this way.
- Dress appropriately for the weather, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
- Walks are held rain or shine, and cancelled if dangerous weather occurs. The safety of our participants is of utmost importance!
- Bring plenty of water! It is better to over-estimate how much you will need instead of running out.
- You are welcome to bring a snack, in fact it is encouraged.
