  • 5th from 3pm to 3:45pm: Book Reading of Storm Bugs with Andrea Zoppo
      • Join author and award-winning educator Andrea Zoppo, fondly known as Ms. Ladybug, for a fun-filled time learning about our pollinator friends and what happens to them and other crawlies during a storm!  With her new book Storm Bugs, Ms. Ladybug will guide you through the story with puppets, sound effects, and interactive play.   Come find out what happens during a storm, you might be quite surprised.  This program is great for families with young children. Expect to become a part of the story. Support Woodlands Garden and take home a locally printed beautiful book about nature. Meet in the pavilion.  Min 5 families, Max 15 families.

  • 18th from 10am to 11am: Garden Walk & Talk with Steve Sanchez as he presents 'Native Plants and Piedmont Ecosystems'
      • Steve Sanchez is passionate about native plants! During this Garden Walk & Talk Steve will feature plants thriving at Woodlands while emphasizing their important role in restoring native habitats and sustainable ecosystems. As a principal Landscape Architect with HGOR in Atlanta, Steve has been an integral part of Woodlands Garden for many years. We are especially pleased with his choice of plant palette unique to the Piedmont's Upper Ridge for the new corner planting. Come out for a walk with Steve and hear about why he chose our native plants, what makes them a special part of the Georgia Piedmont and which of these plants you can purchase for your own landscape from our Fall Plant Sale on September 25 & 26!

    • Come learn more about our stormwater pollutant and debris filtration system. Join us for this informative session with our Contech Engineered Solutions representative Glen Payton! We will be measuring the debris the system caught this year with our sludge judge tool. 1 hour of CEU available.

Saturday Volunteer Project

From 9:00am – 12:00pm we will be working on Garden maintenance projects ranging from litter pick up to weeding to planting to mulching. We need volunteers to make this happen! Please mark your calendars and let us know you’re coming by registering here!

This is an outdoor volunteer project, so dress for the weather and bring drinking water.
