The North Georgia Camellia Society along with Woodlands Garden will be hosting a
"Camellia Cuttings Workshop and Swap”
on Saturday, June 26, 2021
from 10 am - 11am*
at Woodlands Garden in the Pavilion
The workshop will be led by Jim Pruckler, NGCS Vice President. The program will focus on propagating Camellias from cuttings. For many years, Jim worked as a microbiologist at the CDC. He has devoted himself to growing and promoting Camellias across the Southeast. Jim can be seen tending Dr. Morse's original collection of Camellias as the resident Camellia guru at Woodlands and takes yearly trips to assist his friend, Tom Johnson, at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC.
Registration details:
- NCGS member: $10 registration fee for NGCS member
- General Registration: $20 for non-members of NCGS
- Registration fee includes provided supplies (planting medium, root hormone and cups to grow two cuttings)
- To maintain a quality and safely distanced experience in the outdoor venue, registration is required and limited. If the spaces fill up additional time options will be offered on the same day.

What to Bring: Please bring a mask, your gloves, water bottle, and clippers or a sharp pocket-knife. You are invited to bring cuttings from Camellias that you wish to share with others or take cuttings from selected from the Garden.
Location: This hands-on workshop will take place in the Pavilion at Woodlands Garden which is a short walk from the vehicle parking into the Garden. Detailed directions to the newly constructed entrances into the Garden can be found here.
